Dear members,
The present constitution of our association was enacted 14 years ago when the Association found. It has been a very good guideline to the work and development since the founding of the Association. However, with social and business development, the Association has become a professional body with over 2,000 members. A lot of sections and content of the original constitution are incompatible now. Therefore, an enlarged meeting of the Executive Committee has decided to make a more systematic amendment to the existing constitution in accordance with the Canadian law and the actual situation of the Association work; So that the Association work can better serve the general members during the time of the legislation for regulating. To this end, the Executive Committee has appointed Mr. Zhihua YANG, director of the Disciplined Committee to be the leader of the constitution amendment team. The work has been started already.
Our association is a democratic and harmonious professional body. In order to reflect the democratic rights of our members, we will listen to your suggestions on amending the constitution. All current members (registered members who have renewed their membership up to date for year 2008), please refer to the present constitution, and submit your valuable views and suggestions in writing (letter mail, fax or e-mail are acceptable, please specify your name and membership number) to the secretariat of the Association by October 31, 2008. The Executive Committee has also decided preparing for the next general elections under the premise of the completion of amending the constitution.
