To popularize and to spread TCM knowledge, promote the recognition and acceptance of TCM, and to provide prevention, treatment, restoration and health care services. To provide continuing education and training opportunities for CSCMA members, and to support academic research and clinical services. To standardize TCM practices and provide effective oversight of CSCMA members in order to strengthen public perception of the CSCMA. Since the establishment of CSCMA, it has held two international TCM conferences successfully.

  5. Promote the establishment of appropriate policies, regulation and legislation governing TCM in Canada by ensuing that governments have access to information and input from TCM experts in an open consultative process.
  6. Encourage rigorous scientific research into TCM and providing technical assistance and other advisory services to research-related organizations.
  7. Recruiting and developing talented TCM practitioners and facilitating their entry into TCM organizations and clinics, as well as recognizing and promoting excellence in research and its dissemination through writing aimed at popular audiences.
