The Canadian Society of traditional Chinese medicine and Acupuncture
On December 20, 2006, Legislation regulating the practice of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has received Royal Assent and is now a law in Ontario. Ontario becomes the second province in Canada (after British Columbia) to regulate traditional Chinese medicine. This initiative is part of the Ontario government's plan to build a health care system that reflects the needs of patients and communities, and will keep Ontarians healthy for generations to come. CSCMA has been welcoming and supporting this regulation. The goal of CSCMA is to protect and promote the benefit of all the members and to ensure these services are delivered by practitioners with a high level of competence.
